Saquon Barkley Next Team Odds: Texans Favored as Barkley Heads to Free Agency

Saquon Barkley could be one of the most coveted free agents in the NFL this offseason, as he would represent an upgrade at running back for the vast majority of the other 31 teams in the league. The New York Giants chose not to franchise tag Barkley for a second time, and that’s why they’re no longer the clear-cut favorites when looking at the NFL odds for Saquon Barkley’s next team.

I’m taking a look at the market for Saquon’s next squad and making my NFL picks as I try to identify a long shot that might swoop in and lure Barkley away from the favored Houston Texans.

Here’s a look at the NFL odds and where the lines have moved since opening.

Ticketless Scotland fans urged not to travel to London for England game

The mayor of London, the Scottish government and the Scottish Football Association have urged Scotland supporters without tickets not to travel to London for the Euro 2020 match against England on 18 June due to concerns over Covid.

Scotland are due to face England in their second match in Group D, with 2,600 tickets having been allocated to visiting fans because the attendance at Wembley is capped at 25,000 for the group stages. But with thousands without tickets still expected to travel for the Tartan Army’s first tournament since the 1998 World Cup, despite many of London’s pubs and bars still under Covid-restrictions, Sadiq Khan has joined forces with the Scottish government in an attempt to discourage them.

Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior accuses La Liga of ‘doing nothing’ over racist abuse

The Real Madrid forward Vinícius Júnior has accused La Liga of “doing nothing” about racist abuse from the stands at matches, after he was targeted by Real Valladolid fans on Friday.

Vinícius posted a statement online after videos on social media showed fans shouting abuse and throwing objects at him during Real Madrid’s 2-0 away win. The Brazilian forward appeared to be subjected to abuse at the José Zorrilla Stadium after being substituted.

Manchester United get sleep and meal windows to tackle jet lag on US tour

Erik ten Hag’s intent that Manchester United hit the ground running on their US tour by mitigating against jet lag includes training in Los Angeles at optimum times for his players to receive light, and designated sleep and meal windows.

Will someone please think of the alcoholics?

One of the most annoying things in life is when people try to limit your vices for you. The term “drink responsibly” is less of a rule and more of a loose guideline, and I’ll be damned if I’m going to let doctors define “binge drinking” for me. That’s why when I go to a sporting event, a bar, or a beerfest, I treat the cutoff time like a buzzer. If you’re like me, last call prompts a small amount of panic, and while I haven’t been to one of these new-and-improved baseball games yet, I’m a little more motivated now that a few stadiums are coming around to selling alcohol through the eighth inning. MLB’s implementation of the pitch clock has shortened the time of play, and thus the time that patrons can drink. You used to be able to amble up to the concession stand …

In Prison, It Could Be A REAL "Game Of Shadows"

So we don't know if you knew about this or not, but this Thursday, Lance Williams and Mark Fainaru-Wada, the authors of Game Of Shadows, the exhausting piece of investigative reporting that stunned the world by revealing that Barry Bonds (no!) used steroids, will face a judge at Phillip Burton Federal Building and U.S. Courthouse in San Francisco at 1:30 p.m. Are they receiving a medal? Are they being injected with HGH? Nope: They're dealing with a subpeona demanding them to give up their sources for the book. (We apologize for linking to Lupica there, by the way.) That's right: It's possible that the only people who go to jail because of that book are Bonds' trainer … and its writers. Journalists, quite understandably, are all a-twitter about this, and sever…

Well, It's Not That Big A Deal If You Miss This One

This, it's safe to say, is not one of those night when we're banging our head against the wall for not having the NFL Network. (We're far more concerned about missing the Rutgers bowl game.) The Steelers and the Browns, two teams long since removed from the playoff picture, go head to head tonight, and it's up to Cris Collinsworth and Bryant Gumbel — who hopefully will rip into Gene Upshaw again or something — to keep our interest. We're not holding our breath. That said, there's always the possibility that it will snow, and snow makes it feel like it's truly the holiday season, as if the general increase in your stress level hadn't reminded you of that already. Anyway, if you want to enjoy this game in a virtual, real-time (mostly) comment…

Take the Darnell Washington video with a grain of salt

Day 3 of the 2023 NFL Combine is often only talked about in regard to the quarterbacks. With so many big names at the position in the upcoming draft, it’s easy to understand why. There are four quarterbacks who could go in the top 10, so it stands to reason that all eyes would be on the likes of C.J. Stroud, Bryce Young, Will Levis, and Anthony Richardson. That said, another player stole the spotlight for a moment when the sled got pulled out. That is Georgia tight end Darnell Washington. Some people project him to be a first-round pick. It’s easy to see why, right? Look at that monster of a man push through that sled like it was a stone on a sheet of ice, no issues at all. Then, when you compare it to the other tight ends, it only gets more impressive. Those other guys struggl…

Woman Punched By Joe Mixon Says Argument Was Incited By Mixon Using A Gay Slur

A few months before Joe Mixon will likely be selected in the NFL Draft, Norman (Ok.) police released video of an interview that Amelia Molitor gave in July 2014. Molitor was punched in the face by Mixon that summer, and even though Mixon was done being formally disciplined for the punch after the 2015 season, it remained relevant for years as the status of security camera footage of the punch was up in the air. An appeals court ruled in February 2016 that the video should be made public, but it didn’t surface until a Friday afternoon in late December. Molitor has spoken about the incident occasionally in the past and she sued Mixon in U.S. District Court last July, but this interview is the most extensive account of the event yet. The full interview runs almost an hour, and in it, s…
